Oasis Bible Training Center Reopens for Fall Quarter 2025 with a Fresh Call to Intimacy and Impartation

Finger Lakes Region, NY — After a year-long pause marked by family responsibilities and a season of prayerful rest, Oasis Bible Training Center is once again opening its doors for a powerful Fall 2025 quarter. Founded in 2018 by Steve and Diane Porter, the school has become a sacred space in the Finger Lakes region where students encounter the manifest presence of God and are equipped to walk in wholehearted devotion.

The new term begins Thursday, September 11, 2025, with two life-transforming classes being offered. One of them, Desiring His Presence Above All Else, will be taught personally by Steve Porter, a pastor, author, and founder of Refuge Ministries. This 9-week course will guide students into a deeper lifestyle of intimacy with Christ, exploring vital topics such as The Manifest Presence of God (Parts 1–4), Waiting on the Lord, Practicing His Presence, The Kiss of His Word, Beholding the Lord, and Soaking in His Presence.

The second class will be on Biblical Citizenship. In this dynamic series, you’ll receive a captivating overview of the Constitution—filmed on-site at Independence Hall—paired with powerful, historically accurate insights and Christian worldview teaching. With engaging interviews and teachings from respected pastors and Christian leaders on the frontlines of today's cultural battles, this course will awaken and equip you to bring Biblical values back into your neighborhood, your State, and our Nation.

“We’ve been in a season of great transition, especially with the care of my father,” said Steve Porter. “But the Lord placed an urgency in our hearts—it’s time to begin again. The world is hungry for more than religious activity. People are longing for a genuine encounter with Jesus. That’s why Oasis exists.”

No Tuition. Just Hunger.

In a rare and faith-filled approach, Oasis Bible Training Center operates completely tuition-free, welcoming students regardless of financial status. “We are a faith-based school. We charge no enrollment fees and trust the Lord to provide all our needs,” said Diane Porter. “God always sends what’s needed when hearts are hungry.”

Classes are immersive, intimate, and deeply Spirit-led—designed not to fill heads with information, but to cultivate hearts aflame with love for Jesus. Oasis is not just a place of learning; it is a resting place for God, where He is free to move and speak as He pleases.

Chapel and Holy Fire Nights: A Flame Burning Bright

In addition to weekly classes, the Oasis community gathers every Sunday evening for Chapel and Holy Fire services—open to students and the public alike. These gatherings are marked by deep worship, altar calls, prophetic ministry, and powerful impartations.

“Holy Fire is a night set apart,” Steve explained. “It’s where people are drawn into extended worship, soaking in His glory, and receiving healing, direction, and refreshing. God always meets us in those sacred moments.”

A Vision for the Future

As the school reopens, the leadership is looking ahead prayerfully to Phase 2 of campus development, praying and planning to build a larger facility in the future. The envisioned expansion includes more classroom space, a larger chapel, and a cafeteria.

“Our heart is to prepare a people for these end times—to glorify Jesus and make Him known,” Steve said. “We’re raising up Overcomers—those who endure the fire and come forth refined, carrying His glory. And we’re trusting God to supply every need as we walk this out by faith.”
