Oasis Bible Training Center Throws Open Doors for Intimate Encounter This Spring
NEWARK, NY - After months of fervent preparation, Oasis Bible Training Center is thrilled to open its doors on April 3rd, ushering in a fresh season of pursuing the depths of God. Founded with the core vision that every believer would discover deeper intimacy with Christ, Oasis stands out as an oasis from shallow Christianity.
Founder Steve Porter explains, "We have toiled tirelessly getting ready to launch this unique Bible training hub, which we believe will facilitate life-change for all who come." His goal is to foster an environment where God's sweet manifest presence abides, and hearts can connect deeply with the Lord.
Steve also remarks, "In contrast to the quick fixes so common today, these classes beckon us into the depths with God. As the psalmist said, 'Deep calls unto deep.' " The curriculum dives into the richness of the deeper Christian walk, teaching how to recognize and respond to God's voice.
The 9-week schedule fosters this depth through various gatherings:
› Wednesday Night Chapel (6PM-8PM) - Passionate corporate encounters where we "run after God" with abandoned devotion.
› Thursday Evening Classes (6PM & 7PM) - 1) "The Ways of God" explores gaining deeper revelation of God's nature and voice, led by Steve Jones. 2) "Introduction to the Deeper Life" lays the biblical foundation for intimacy with Christ, taught by Steve Porter.
› Sunday Night Holy Fire Services (6PM) - Times of dwelling in God's presence around His Word.
Steve Porter shares more on Oasis's birthing vision: "We designed this training ground to be God’s safe, flourishing garden where students can grow in intimacy with Him. We aim to prepare men and women to live out God’s purposes in these climactic end-times - for His glory and renown."
He goes on, "Our burning passion is that this school would be a specially welcoming oasis for the Lord - a place and people completely belonging to Him." This captures the cry of Steve's spiritual father, Wade Taylor, who prayed, "Lord, if there could be a place where you could fully be who you want to be, and do what you want to do, I am totally available to you!"
The two main spiritual disciplines Oasis longs to instill in every student are:
1) Learning to wait on the Lord and seek His face.
2) Cultivating a listening ear to hear and respond to God's whisper.

The 9-week spring quarter at Oasis Bible Training Center kicks off with classes starting on Wednesday and Thursday, April 3rd & 4th 2024 The immersive curriculum then continues meeting each week for 9 transforming weeks.
